Sri. H. D. Kumaraswamy
Chief Minister of Karnataka
Haradanahalli Devegowda Kumaraswamy (born 16 December 1959) is an Indian politician and current Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is the President of Karnataka State Janata Dal (Secular) and son of former Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda.
Kumaraswamy is accused of corruption in the Janthakal mining scam (renewal of mining lease in violation of norms) and the Vishwabharati case (irregularities in allotment of land to private cooperative society).
Kumaraswamy was born in Haradanahalli, Holenarasipura taluk of Hassan district, Karnataka to H. D. Deve Gowda and Chennamma.
He completed primary education in a government school in Hassan district. He finished his high school studies in Bangalore's MES Educational Institution in Jayanagar. He completed his PUC from Vijaya College and earned his B.Sc. from National College in Jayanagar, Bangalore.
